The Olanders are a writer/photographer duo whose love for Southern California’s highest mountain ranges inspired their award-winning coffee-table book. Since publication in 2005, the popular photo-essay book generates many requests for the Olanders’ slideshow presentation, which with a bit of music and compelling quotes
bring the legacy and beauty of these mountains alive.

Audiences include historical societies, volunteer associations and retirement communities; gatherings assembled at museums, national forest visitor centers, and outdoor equipment stores; religious groups, conservancies, and political organizations plus various environmental groups, interest clubs and affiliations of women, seniors and youth.

Ann’s background as a teacher and newspaper journalist with Farley’s engineering and photography bring a presentation sensitive to each audience. The Olanders have also presented programs about the San Gabriel Mountains, sharing the podium with forest preservation leaders and historian/author John Robinson. Previous popular slide programs focused on the Swiss Alps and Colorado/Canadian Rocky Mountains.
